ABM Courses

Here are materials for some of the tutorials and workshops I’ve presented on agent-based modeling of social dynamics. The most complete modeling courses I teach are the full-semester ones I teach at UC Merced (using the textbook I wrote), but the materials linked here are a good start.

Modeling Social Dynamics (2020). A 7-lecture online course featuring videos, lecture notes, and code. This was created through a partnership with the Cultural Evolution Society.

Modeling Workshop, SIPS (2018). A half-day workshop I gave at the SIPS conference in Grand Rapids, MI. Link is to an OSF repository featuring lecture slides, readings, and code.

Modeling Workshop, Eindhoven (2017). A one-day workshop I gave at Eindhoven. Features lecture slides and code.

Modeling Workshop, Aarhus (2017). A four-day workshop I gave at Aarhus. Features lecture slides and code.

CodeHorizons course. I sometimes teach a 3-day intensive online course on ABM for CodeHorizons. The tuition for this is hefty, so I don’t recommend it for students unless someone else is footing the bill.
